The role

Ideals has been in the Virtual Data Room space since 2008 and has built a trusted reputation with clients across multiple industries in Europe, including Orcan Energy, E-Gruppe, Deloitte, and EY.

To support the growth of the Ideals VDR in Germany, we continue our expansion by adding an Account Executive (Business Development Manager) based in the Munich area to play a key role in building and deepening key accounts and long-term client partnerships across the southern German market.

As a front-line, quota-carrying team member, you will actively reach out to 30-40 new customers each month and oversee a pipeline of 50+ opportunities to close deals. Engaging proactively with C-suite and key account decision-makers across Finance, Banking, and other sectors, you will contribute directly to our growth story in the German market.

This role is for you if you’re commercially driven, take full ownership of how you show up, yet are genuinely open to coaching and ways to improve. You have a collaborative mindset and treat team success as important as hitting your own number.

Compensation package: 50% base salary; 50% performance-based variable.

What you will do

  • Build relationships with key stakeholders and industry influencers throughout the Munich metropolitan region

  • Deliver sales targets by focusing on new customer acquisition

  • Proactively build and manage a pipeline, working with strategic German accounts and constantly developing new opportunities

  • Actively contribute to the execution of the sales and marketing strategy for the German region

  • Take part in arranging M&A Community events, enhancing Ideals’ visibility

  • Deliver compelling product presentations to clients

  • Structure, negotiate, and close deals

  • Consistently share insights and provide updates to customers

  • Provide relevant customer feedback to the product development and management teams

  • Collaborate with Customer Success and Commercial Sales to grow customer satisfaction and the company’s revenue

What you bring

  • 1-2 years of demonstrated experience in direct sales or business development within the B2B or professional services sector

  • Experience in high-velocity sales environments and effectively engaging with decision-makers

  • A track record of successfully managing pipelines and closing high-value deals

  • Exceptional business communication skills to structure persuasive pitches and navigate client discovery

  • Native-level proficiency in German with professional English level (C1+)

  • SaaS, financial, fintech, or information security industries background

  • Fluency in an additional language
