Ideals’ charity auction in Ukraine: Where care meets purpose

More than 200 of Ideals’ teammates are Ukrainian. They work, build, and deliver every day while Ukraine is at war. That context doesn’t sit in the background at Ideals. It shows up in how we collaborate, adapt, and what we choose to do together.
On Vyshyvanka Day 2026, our Kyiv team hosted a charity auction for Ukraine that brought together 60+ participants in the office and online. Twenty lots donated by Idealers went under the hammer, and the energy in the room was exactly what the name promised.
The result: 318,225 UAH (~$7,000+) raised on the day. The Ideals Fund stepped in and matched it, bringing the total to 636,450 UAH (~$14,000+).
Every hryvnia went to six vetted causes supporting Ukraine’s defenders, including Social Drone UA and a fundraiser by the DOU community, Ukraine’s largest tech professional network.
None of this happens without people who make it real. Thank you to every Idealer who donated, placed a bid, joined online, or simply showed up. And a particular thank you to Evgeny Sergeev for continuing to make this kind of collective action possible.Dima PonochovnyiLead, Talent SourcingCare is one of our core values. Days like this show what it looks like in practice.
About the Ideals Fund
The Ideals Fund launched in 2022 to support humanitarian efforts in Ukraine. Since then, the Fund has purchased evacuation transport for civilians and delivered equipment directly to the Armed Forces – laptops, monitors, and generators. It has also supported Idealers who are defending Ukraine.
One flagship project is Leo States, a modular housing village in the Lviv region, built for Ukrainians displaced by the war. The European Commission awarded Leo States a New European Bauhaus Prize 2024 in the “Special Recognition to Ukraine’s Reconstruction and Recovery Effort” category.
