The role
As we scale rapidly, reaching 430+ team members across 30+ countries, we are expanding our automation and AI capabilities to drive digital transformation.
We are seeking an AI Automation Technical Lead to drive the integration of automation and AI into various cross-functional digital transformation projects.
In this role, you will design scalable solutions that transform business processes and position Ideals as a leader in automation and AI excellence. Leading the Business Process Automation team, you’ll collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the seamless implementation and optimization of automated processes across the organization. Your responsibilities will include driving technical excellence, auditing and refining automation solutions, and designing architectures that align with our vision for intelligent automation.
Reporting to Engineering Manager, Antonina, this role is ideal for someone driven to make a long-term impact on the operational evolution of a mature fast-scaling tech business.

What you’ll do
- Design and oversee the implementation of automation architecture
- Run technical investigations and solution design
- Guide the team in automation development and AI integration
- Perform code reviews and ensure quality standards
- Conduct technical workshops and grooming sessions
- Mentor team members in automation best practices
- Collaborate with business units, BA, to identify and asses automation opportunities
- Managing automation projects from initiation to closure
- Exploring new technologies and tools that accelerate automation development
- Oversee AI integration and deployment
- Ensure security and compliance in automation solutions
What you bring
- 5+ years of experience in a Tech Lead role, specializing in Business Automation and AI Integration
- Strong exposure to Generative AI, including experience with RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation), vector databases, and LLM chains
- Ability to design and manage multi-agent architectures, enabling dynamic interactions and collaborative problem-solving among AI agents
- In-depth understanding of automation architectures and system design
- Solid knowledge of business process automation methodologies, along with project management and business analysis skills
- Experience with AI/ML technology, model deployment, and integration
- Advanced skills with automation orchestration tools
- Knowledge of API development, management, and integration (e.g., REST API, Webhooks)
- Commitment to high-quality, sustainable development practices
- Proficiency in English (B2 level or higher)
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps practices
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages (JavaScript, Python, C#)
- Experience with databases and data pipeline management
- Knowledge of quality management, including Unit and Integration testing
