The Role

The business development team plays an important role in the company’s lasting success in delivering an exceptional buying experience to our clients. Currently, we are looking for a senior executive to lead the team of rock-star salespeople and to ensure that iDeals is the first-choice VDR provider for an even bigger number of clients. This is a fully remote London-based position.

This role reports directly to the Chief Revenue Officer. You can expect to shape and execute the company’s strategic growth initiatives, fostering key partnerships and driving revenue expansion. This role is a perfect fit for a seasoned leader who wants to make an impact by leveraging their extensive industry network and driving transformative business opportunities. What You Will Do

  • Lead a team of field sales professionals directly and through the directors
  • Manage business development metrics and drive functional outcomes
  • Recruit experienced leaders for each functional role
  • Attract high-potential individual contributors and scale by 100 employees across field sales teams
  • Own a rapid onboarding process for new team members
  • Foster collaboration within the team and across the customer lifecycle
  • Encourage continuous learning & development within the team
  • Mentoring and coaching your team to meet personal and business goals
  • Drive the performance appraisal process for the team
  • Define operational metrics for the team
  • Grow revenue by $100M in the next 5 years through implementing the best sales and negotiation practices
  • Expose a subset of metrics to the executive team, company, and board
  • Align with marketing, product, customer success, finance, and executive teams around objectives
  • Cultivate new business and develop partnerships
  • Support closure of strategic deals and nurturing partnerships to ensure both immediate and long-term success
  • Lead by example in setting team vision, interacting with customers, managing deals, participating in company leadership forums, and attending industry events that demonstrate our values
  • Learn from best practices in the industry
  • Keeping up to date on markets, segments, customers, emerging markets, market shifts, new products, competition status, external forces and feeding insights into planning
  • Representing the company at industry events
  • What We Look For

  • 20 years of hands-on experience in new business development sales
  • At least 10 years of outbound sales managerial experience
  • Experience with managing high-velocity and volume sales strategy
  • Professional sales background within the B2B SaaS industry
  • Solid experience in system transactional sales, sales methodology, and techniques, sales and negotiation practices
  • Experience selling in more than one geographic area
  • Experience hiring, motivating, coaching, and developing teams
  • Profound leadership skills with a passion for talent growth and building high-performing collaborative teams
  • Experienced in managing at least 70+ employees across field sales teams
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm
  • Driven to deliver the best customer experience
  • A strong advantage of experience in financial or consulting fields, understanding M&A
