Talent Development Head

Currently, iDeals team consists of more than 350 people over the world, and our business continues actively grow – we expect our team will expand globally up to 1,000  in the next 2-3 years. That’s why we are looking for an experienced Talent Development Head, who will help us to align our people development path with business growth and make our employee’s career journey joyful, meaningful, and successful. 

The People Team’s mission is to create an exceptional employee experience for iDealers to be at their best in order to deliver an exceptional experience for our customers. The People Team is also growing and advancing to enable the continued success of iDeals. Currently, our People Team consists of several streams: People Operations, People Experience, and People Performance & Development.

Therefore, the mission of this Role is to establish the Talent and Learning function to ensure iDeals people are performing at their best, actively developing for future growth with the neoteric talent & learning tools, programs, and career opportunities; to ensure the company is developing current and future leaders and cultivating the desired culture to achieve its vision and mission.

You will work directly with our inspiring VP of People Nina Grosse and all business function leaders to define and implement the talent and learning strategy to pace with the company and teams’ growth. You will develop and drive the realization of an integrated and forward-looking approach to performance management, career development, learning, talent assessment, and succession planning, using the most appropriate and contemporary methodologies, platforms, and tools.  

You will start as a manager of one Senior Assessment and Development Specialist and will be enabled to amplify your team of specialists and source best-fitting external partners to deliver high impact.

  • Build and direct the company’s Talent and Learning Strategy and activities
  • Succession Planning and Learning & Development:
  • Analyze and identify the talent and learning needs and develop a roadmap to meet the current demands and future growth of the organization
  • Establish and drive implementation of succession planning and career development
  • Design and evaluate Leadership Development Framework and curriculaFurther refine the PDP process and upgrade supporting tools and guides
  • Select and source e-learning platforms, on-demand learning, and other signature learning programs
  • Choose external providers and contractors to meet the function resource needs
  • Performance management:
  • Oversee performance management processes, programs, and tools. Now we use a combo of OKR, KPI, and 360 Feedback and are open to improvements
  • Further refine and implement optimizations.
  • Keep up-to-date on leading-edge talent and learning innovations and development of new methodologies, platforms, and tools:
  • Define talent assessment tools and methodologies for Talent Development and Talent Acquisition. We use a competency-based approach and already designed almost 100% of Job Profiles for our current roles
  • Establish talent and learning program effectiveness measures and look for ways to increase effectiveness. 
  • Hire, manage, inspire and develop team members for high performance.

  • Passion for talent growth and building high-performing collaborative cultures, using innovative approaches and methodologies
  • 5+ years in People Development and Talent Management area, and at least 2 years in a managerial role
  • Experience in Tech-companies would be a plus
  • Eager about Performance Management – we expect you’d be familiar with various methodologies and will adjust the relevant approach to our business needs 
  • Strong experience in Succession planning and Career development – implementing from scratch or redesigning current one; proven knowledge of different assessment methodologies and tools 
  • Deep expertise in developing talent and learning programs and driving impact, using ADDIE methodology
  • Experienced in Leadership development framework, concepts, and providers
  • Good understanding of e-learning design and development principles, on-demand learning, and LMS; Good knowledge of external talent and learning providers
  • Coaching experience or certification would be a plus
  • Good at Facilitating – able to facilitate workshops and working/design sessions
  • Strong in analytics – using core HR metrics and measuring development programs’ effectiveness to propose a data-driven decision
  • Savvy Project Management – perfect in planning, execution, maintaining, and retrospective will help you to drive large-scale initiatives globally while partnering with key stakeholders to adjust them locally
  • Experienced in a remote team management
  • Excellent communication skills in a cross-cultural background
  • Resourcefulness – keen on new technologies, methodologies, and tools, pragmatism, and roll-up the sleeves mentality.
