Senior VP of Engineering

Currently, we are looking for a Senior VP of Engineering, who will lead iDeals engineering teams within all of our products, and be responsible for building high-performing teams, implementing high-quality predictable delivery processes, and introducing innovations.

This role is a perfect fit for a seasoned engineering leader who wants to make an impact through leading, scaling, and transforming an engineering organization of 150+ engineers currently, working with the latest technologies and approaches, and building a solid engineering culture along with highly efficient processes.

We’re looking for someone located in Europe, either EU, Switzerland, UK, or Israel. But if you are not in any of these locations or want to move within any of them, we are glad to help with relocation.


  • Build and implement a multi-year innovation roadmap. Set up and oversee innovation and technology scouting activities. Define common process, language, and tools 
  • Architect and implement a scaled delivery processes roadmap for a 2-3 years horizon. Introduce milestones and KPIs to track our movement towards the proposed target
  • Implement and support a consistent project and programs delivery across engineering teams 
  • Define and implement the set of security and compliance measures in engineering processes and practices that reassure reaching the expected security level of our products and services
  • Make sure technology innovation and product roadmap execution are delivered simultaneously and do not sacrifice each other. Align on the high-level priorities with the product management. Build a framework to ensure that we are keeping a balance between technical debt and improvements vs. the delivery of the features
  • Build a framework to evaluate engineers’ performance. Use the results for making promotion or dismissal, and for a development plan
  • Improve employer brand and build a value proposition for engineering roles at iDeals
  • Review and develop target Engineering Culture and adopt it within the teams
  • Manage external partnerships

  • Strong hands-on engineering background in the early career
  • Solid experience in engineering leadership roles, successful track of scaling of engineering teams and processes
  • Deep understanding of scaled delivery frameworks and their usage in practice. Ability to apply them in different contexts
  • Knowledge of SDLC process and performance metrics
  • Mastery in engineering project mgmt approaches and tools for planning, tracking, prioritization, risk mgmt, portfolio mgmt
  • Proven change management skills
  • Ability to dive deeper into the engineering problems or incidents, identify root cause, and propose remediations 
  • Good understanding of system design, quality management, security & compliance, DevOps and infrastructure
  • Strong leadership skills to drive engineering teams’ performance management, engineering culture and engineering employer brand directions
  • Excellent communication, analytic and problem-solving skills, can-do attitude
